NDU Sports FAcilities 

Lawn Tennis Complex 

• Complex has 2x Clay Courts & 1x Hard Court

• Flood light facility is available in all the courts.

• Provision of free of cost balls to the club members.

• Membership is open for faculty/Allied Officers/ participants and their families.

• Facility is also extended to Armed Forces Officers other than those attending the course.

• For convenience of players ball boys are provided in each court.

• Tennis Complex remains open throughout the week except weekend and gazetted holidays. Timings for various seasons are as under:-

             1 Mar to 31 Jul              -           1700 to 2100 hours

             1 Aug to 31 Oct             -           1600 to 2000 hours

             1 Nov to 28 Feb            -           1500 to 1900 hours

       Squash Complex

• Squash Complex is located besides main building of NDU.
• Complex has two courts with wooden floor courts.
• Back wall is of glass.
• Spectator gallery accommodates approximately fifty individuals.
• Spacious wash/change room.

Gymnasium

• Gym is located near Officer’s Mess of NDU.
• Major equipment available in the gym is as under:-

 5x Treadmills

 Exercise Cycles

 Triceps & Bicep Machines

 Leg press & curl machines

 Rowing machine

 Preacher curl machine

 Incline chest press machine

 AB King pro

 Free weights barbells and dumbbells

• Membership is open for faculty/Allied Officers/ participants and their families.

• Separate timings for ladies and gents.
• Gym remains open throughout the week including weekend. Timings for gents and ladies are as under:-

Children Sports Complex

•  Complex is located inside the residential area.

•  It houses following facilities:-

      a. Basket ball

       b.  Badminton

       c.   Skating

•  Sports gears for these facilities are provided by NDU free of cost to all the children.

•  Facilities are made available after school hours till evening.

      Cricket

•  NDU Ground is used for playing Cricket.

• Two pitches available are used as under:-

         Cemented pitch with net                -           Net practice

         Hard ball pitch                                  -           Practice/matches

• Cricket ball and Tennis ball both facilities are provided to the members.

• Complete Cricket kit is provided by the Headquarters NDU.

• Facility is also used by the faculty and students of Faculty of Contemporary Studies.

Football

• NDU Ground is used for playing Football.

• Facility is used mainly by the children of officers.

• Required sports gears are provided by the Headquarters NDU.

• Facility is also used by the faculty and students of Faculty of Contemporary Studies.

Jogging Track

• A well maintained jogging track is available around NDU Ground and mini Golf Course.

• Jogging track located at the foot hills of Margalla provides a scenic view.

• Track around NDU ground is flat and level whereas track around mini Golf Course is on undulating ground, which gives a feeling of hiking.

• Approximate length of the track is one kilometer.

• Neat and clean rest areas have been provided enroute for the members to take rest and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Margalla Hills.
