National Media Workshop (NMW)

1.      Aim.     The aim of organizing national media workshops is to enable the participants to comprehend importance of media as an element of National Power in pursuit of national interest of Pakistan.
 

2.       Scope.    It’s scope embodies the following:-
a. National interests of Pakistan.
b. Media as an element of National Power.
c. Impact of media on the society and national security.
d. Effects of media on global and regional environment and foreign policy of Pakistan.
e. Influence of media on domestic environment and policy of Pakistan.
f. Internal and external threats to the security of Pakistan.
g. Economy of Pakistan and its relationship with mass media.
h. National Media Policy.
i. Orientation visits to the Joint Staff and Services Headquarters and briefing on their mission, role and issues of Inter Services Public Relations.
 

3.       Conduct / Attendance.        So far forth such workshops have been conducted by ISSRA. The first in June 2007, second in November 2008, third in May 2010 and forth in May 2011. A total of 161 individuals have participated in these workshops.
