Lockers.
A locker, duly
numbered, is allotted to each participant on arrival. Personal
mail/unclassified correspondence will be delivered through these
locker numbers. Classified papers will be delivered to concerned
officer in person. Individual lockers must be cleared very
frequently on daily basis
Auditorium.
Auditorium
is the venue for lectures, panel discussions/ Conclusion Studies and
presentations and it also used for extra curricular activities.
National Defence Hall (NDH).
Major portion of
curricular work is done in Auditorium but the division level
activities like seminars are conducted in NDH.
Syndicate Rooms.
Syndicate rooms are
for syndicate meetings/ activities also available for study groups and
exercise syndicates.
Audio-Visual Aids.
Auditorium,
Halls and Syndicate rooms are equipped with multi media projectors for
use when required.
Reproduction Cells.
Reproduction Cells
of respective divisions will undertake printing and publishing work.
Participants may convey their requirements well in time.
Computers.
Adequate number of
computers is available to participants for typing and reproduction of
documents/slides. These computers are connected with Central printers.
In this regard following may also be noted:-
a.
The NSWC is a ‘Self Typing
Course’. All participants are expected to do their typing work
themselves. No typing facility is extended by the University.
b. All
participants are expected to be conversant with ‘Microsoft Word and
Power-point’ packages.
c. The computers of NS College are equipped with USB ports to
facilitate uploading and print outs at University.
Participants are advised to subscribe branded Anti Viruses
Programmes for their PCs so as not to corrupt the college systems.
d. A brief familiarization with functioning of LAN will be
carried soon after commencement of the MS Term. Archives containing
reference material can be accessed through LAN. It is expected that
for research and other assignments, members to make use of this
facility.
e. Satellite Imageries and Maps of selected areas are also
available on LAN/Computers. 3-D facility for viewing these maps is
available on selected computers only. |
