Documentation & Special Instructions
a. Documentation.
(1)
All Pakistan Army Officers must possess- AB-439 duly completed as
required vide PAO 280/56.
(2) All Pakistan Armed Forces officers must be in possession of
their service/national identity cards.
(3) A University security card is also issued to all
participants after their arrival at the University. This University
card must be worn with uniform when entering the University premises.
b.
Particulars of Services.
Three copies of “Record of Service” Performa attached, as Annex C must
be sent after completion to GSO-1 (Trg) NDU HQ, immediately on
receipts of these instructions. A photograph must be attached to each
form.
c.
On arrival participants are required to deposit the following
documents with University: -
(1) Passport (this will be returned after documentation).
(2) Academic degree certificate of highest civil/military
qualification.
d.
Participants are advised to bring their inoculation and vaccination
record or if they have not been inoculated/vaccinated, to get the
needful done immediately on arrival.

Special Instructions for Allied
Officers
(1)
Sponsors.
A
Pakistani participant is detailed as sponsors with each allied
participant. In addition, one faculty member sponsors a number of
allied officers. Sponsor lists will be available on arrival at the
University.
(2)
National Days.
Allied participants may hold receptions/dinners on their National Days
in the Officers Mess subject to the terms and conditions of the
University and the Mess Rules. Some of the important points are:-
(a) The request must be routed through DS Coord at least 30 days
prior to holding of such an event.
(b) The list of guests from outside the University must
accompany the request. Invitations should be issued only after
approval from the University authorities has been obtained.
(c) The guests must abide by the University dress rules.
(d) In addition to the actual expenditure for the event, Rs:
2000.00 will be the mess service charge for each event.
(e) After obtaining necessary approval to hold such functions,
necessary co-ordination may be done with regard to menu, seating and
lighting arrangements etc. with the mess secretary.
(f) Bills for such parties will be cleared along with mess
bills of the month.
(3)
Discipline.
For
matters of discipline there is no discrimination between Pakistani and
Allied participants. Every individual is required to abide by all
instructions contained in this book or passed on from time to time in
University circulars/bulletins.
(4)
Inland Study Tours.
Hotel charges during these tours are different in the case of
Pakistani participants, who are required to pay a maximum amount
equivalent to their daily allowance. Hotels however charge full rates
from Allied participants as per their policy. These rates vary from
hotel to hotel depending on location and quality of services provided.
(5)
Duties.
Participants are not expected to be
detailed directly on duties during the course by their embassies /
high commissions. Any exceptional requirement has to be initiated by
the embassy / high commission through proper channel, i.e. Joint
Services Headquarters, for their consideration and approval. The
University will take action / grant permission only on formal
instructions received from the Joint Services Headquarters.
Participants are therefore advised not to approach the University
directly on this subject. |
